John “Steve” Stevens
Steve has built a reputation as an excellent market executor, building alliances and customer opportunities with limited resources. He has over 45 years of experience in sales and marketing and is also adept at obtaining capital for new ventures such as eStellarNet and Jopari Solutions.
Steve, founded Jopari in 2003 and is responsible for enabling flawless execution across the company and building capabilities for Jopari’s future growth. He helps to enable Jopari’s vision, strategy, and innovation by managing prioritization, decision ownership, effective resource alignment and accountability across the company.
As a leader and motivator with in-depth knowledge of management team building, Steve has demonstrated his success in creating and incubating new firms raising over $100 Million in private capital over his career. Most noteworthy are his experiences in fundraising with eStellarNet, where he successfully served as Chief Fund Raiser and raised over $44 million dollars for the company. Steve also serves as a Board Director and Vice President of USS San Francisco Foundation and a champion for Autism.
Nancy joined Jopari in 2004 as Chief Financial Officer. She is a seasoned finance and talent management executive with particular expertise in assessing and completing acquisitions, raising capital, creating sound financial control, planning and analysis and hiring, developing and retaining key human talent. Nancy has a strong interest in solving the challenges of scaling high growth organizations. At Jopari, Nancy leads finance, human resources, contract administration, client support, compliance, and risk management. She is responsible for driving growth by enabling the organization to execute revenue, hiring and profit plans effectively to deliver strong financial performance.
Prior to Jopari, Nancy has accumulated her business expertise in a broad range of roles. As Senior Vice President of Global Expansion and Integration at Charles Schwab and Co., she defined and executed Schwab’s expansion into international markets. She served as CFO for Charles Schwab Europe during its launch of on-line trading. She also was CFO of Schwab’s high growth 401(k) business. At Citicorp, she was a corporate banker, where she developed funding and cash management strategies for a broad range of clients. She received her CPA while working in Deloitte’s audit practice. She has a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and an M.B.A. in General Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
John is an experienced executive with over 30 years of experience and expertise in efficiently driving corporate growth through all major areas of sales, product, engineering, and operational functions.
Prior to joining Jopari, John was Sr. Vice President of Service Operations for Mitchell International and Board Member of GT Motive, a European based software company. During his tenure at Mitchell, John was also responsible for leading Mitchell's Global Expansion efforts into Europe and prior to that led Product, Marketing, Implementation, and Operations for Mitchell's Casualty Division. John also worked for several P&C Insurance carriers during his professional career and has a B.S. in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, and a M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
Pat is the chief technology officer and technical visionary for Jopari’s solutions. He is instrumental in guiding Jopari’s strategy and interfacing with prospective clients, customers, and business partners. Pat adds not only experience in software technology, but also extensive knowledge in working with and developing solutions for the provider side of the healthcare industry.
With over 50 years of software development experience, Pats’ career includes senior management positions as Chief Technology Officer at Altary LLC, VP of Advanced Technologies at New Era of Networks, Inc. and VP of Research and Development at Century Analysis, Inc. (CAI). In these positions, Pat architected and developed products ranging from a mainframe database to a rules-based event processing system. At CAI he was chief architect for the company’s application integration products including the Transaction Distribution Management (TDM) product (currently sold as Impact! by Sybase). Prior to Century Analysis he was with NCR as a senior systems analyst where he developed applications for a wide range of customers including Varian Vacuum Division, California Mutual Insurance Group, Merced Medical Clinic and Applied Materials Inc.
Pat currently serves on the State of Texas and California’s Electronic Bill and Payment Task forces which are responsible for defining the Workers’ Compensation business rules and ANSI X12 transaction sets for electronic bill and payment transactions. Mr. Stack has served as the ANSI X12 expert in assisting California and Texas in developing a proposed National EBill and Payment ANSI Implementation Guide. Also, Pat serves on the IAIABC Medical Subcommittee for E-Bill and Payment Processing.
Sherry joined Jopari in 2004 and serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of Jopari. She was the founder and CEO of Wilson Corporation specializing in Workers’ Compensation financial risk management for national self- insured employers. She also was Co-Founder and on the Board of Directors for eStellarnet, the first B2B, Internet-based hub connectivity system for the property and casualty and disability market.
Sherry is engaged with the industry standards development organizations including WEDI, ASC X12, HL7, NCVHS, The Cooperative Exchange, The National Clearinghouse Association, IAIABC and other organizations. She serves as Co-Chairperson of the WEDI Property and Casualty Workgroup, Accredited Standards Committee – X12 Management and the IAIABC Workers’ Compensation International Standards Committee where she has been appointed the X12 liaison. In addition, Sherry served the Past as Chair and Board Member of the Cooperative Exchange, The National Clearinghouse Association.
Sherry received her graduate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa.
Don St. Jacques
Don is focused on the growth of Jopari Solutions through various business development activities, including managing existing and establishing new relationships with strategic partners. He also is the Executive Sponsor for several of Jopari’s largest clients and resellers. He joined Jopari in April 2007 after many years in developing Workers Compensation eBilling and ePayment processes.
Don has over 40 years of wide-ranging experience in Claims, Risk Management and Safety/Loss Control, including designing/implementing claims systems, as well as claims management and medical cost containment programs.
Don has also been one of the industry champions of Property and Casualty eBilling and ePayment, beginning in 2000 while working with The Hartford. Over the years he has been instrumental in building Jopari’s extensive provider and payer network, and has worked with various state regulators, providing input to national organizations like IAIABC to foster expanded adoption of eBilling and ePayment. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, with a degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology.
Jennifer is responsible for developing and sustaining strategic partner initiatives and ideas that accelerate each partners’ organizational growth and performance. As a member of the Business Development team, she is leading the expansion of strategic partnerships by influencing technology solutions that promote increased revenue and operational efficiencies.
Jennifer joined Jopari in 2007 after spending 6 years with P2P Link implementing and supporting both provider and payer clients.
Jennifer has over 25 years of experience in Property and Casualty specializing in Workers’ Compensation. She has led key roles with The Hartford Insurance Company as a WC Claims Supervisor and Corporate Trainer. Ms. Nereu began her career in the insurance industry as a Workers’ Compensation claims adjustor for The Travelers.
