As Coventry Provider eBill Implementations in Texas Approach One-Year Mark, Realized Value of Edited, Clean Bills Has Significantly Improved Bill Cycle Efficiencies

DOWNERS GROVE, IL- November 17, 2008- Coventry Workers’ Comp Services (CWCS), a division of Coventry Health Care, Inc., has announced that eBill compliance services for its clients in Texas is approaching the one-year mark. During that time, Coventry Workers’ Comp Services, and participating clients, have realized significant process improvements from the processing of edited, clean electronic bills when compared to the inefficiencies of handling paper bill submissions.

Under the company’s processing agreement with Jopari Solutions, Inc., eBill submissions have increased steadily throughout the year, providing end-to-end bill, attachment and remittance processing for major workers’ compensation payers and providers across the country.

David Young, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Coventry Workers’ Comp Services commented; "The compliance profile we established with our partner Jopari effectively positions Coventry Workers’ Comp Services for emerging eBill and payment requirements in Minnesota and California, as well as non-mandated jurisdictions where our established connectivity with providers can be leveraged."

"We have worked closely with state officials and system stakeholders to reach a point where our provider connectivity is achieving excellent penetration. Demonstrated improvements in processing efficiency are accelerating adoption of our eBill solution nationally. CWCS and Jopari have high expectations for tremendous growth in eBill activity based on the inherent cost effectiveness of these types of transactions."

Steve Stevens, Chief Executive Officer of Jopari stated, "We believe Coventry Workers’ Comp Services’ unique position as the industry leader is helping to modernize the workers’ compensation component of the U.S. healthcare system. Jurisdictional eBill regulations operate as catalyst to this transition, and Coventry’s vision for eBill deployments nationally is a major driver for success in this area.
